Sweet Onion Flower

Large sweet onion
1/2 cup gluten free flour mix
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp paprika
Ant other seasoning you would like to add

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Lay aluminum foil over cookie sheet. Peel onion and cut the bottom level and leave the core intact. Make 6 cuts with all crossing over in center. These are the petals. Carefully loosen the petals slightly. Place all the dry ingredients in a zip lock bag and stir together. Lightly coat onion with oil or spray oil on onion. Place onion in bag and shake . Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until tender. Serve the onion flower hot. Barbecue sauce makes a great dip.
