Book Review - Books by Carol Fenster

Wheat-Free Recipes & Menus by Carol Fenster (this book was donated by Carol Fenster)
This was my first gluten free cook book that actually had recipes that didn't flop on me. I depended on this cookbook for the first 6 months that I went gluten free. We survived Christmas and made our own gluten free Christmas basket. The girls and I didn't miss a thing. The "Graham Cracker" and "Vanilla Wafer" recipes made Christmas baking possible.
Three different flour blend recipes to choose from. Great pictures to show you how to adapt without specialty pans. Tips and ideas for breading for fried foods. Great menu section. Lots of ways to substitute for dairy free and tells how you can substitute for wheat.

Gluten-Free 101 by Carol Fenster (This book was donated by Carol Fenster)
Great book for beginners. Reteaches how to cook in details about what each ingredients does to make a good gluten free baked good. Lots of advise for baking success. Lots of great recipes

Cooking Free by Carol Fenster (This book was donated by Carol Fenster)
Easy to use for other food allergies. All recipes are clearly marked for allergy suffers. All recipes are gluten free. Recipes are used with a flour blend that you mix together and store on the shelf or in the freezer. Saves time and simplifies by not pulling out more ingredients. Great information for substituting in recipes. Good selection of dinner recipes.
